If you’re reading this, you probably found us because your dog can’t eat the usual stuff — or because you’re curious about what “wild-harvested beaver” even means as dog food. Either way, welcome. This is Raw Talk, the Beaver Tail Raw blog, where we’ll share what’s actually going on around here.
Why a blog?
Because there’s a lot to say that doesn’t fit in an Instagram caption. How we trap and process, what “novel protein” really means for an itchy dog, what we’re learning about feeding raw — the wins and the mistakes. Real talk, from our kitchen to yours.
New look, new labels — same wild goodness
You may have noticed things looking a little different around here. We’ve been reworking our packaging with a fresh new look and new labels. Same wild goodness inside — wild-harvested Ontario beaver, ground with bone and organs, and our single-protein dehydrated treats.
What’s coming
In the next few posts: why beaver is a game-changer for dogs with allergies, how we make our jerky (it’s simpler than you’d think), and the story of Dorset — our senior girl who just hit one full year on raw.
Thanks for being here. If you ever want us to cover something, DM us on Instagram or email beavertailraw@gmail.com.
