Beaver Tail Raw started with family — and family is still in every bag.

The idea came from my son Justin, a hunter and trapper who harvests every beaver himself, with respect for the animal and the land. My sister Beth helps me handcraft all of our products, batch by batch. My husband Chris and my nephew Logan help with everything — from pickup and delivery to processing and equipment. And this website was mapped out by my oldest son Tyson, who we lost in February — his work is part of everything you’ll find here.

We started Beaver Tail Raw because we believed dogs deserved better than mystery meat and filler — real, wild nutrition from an animal most people have never thought to feed their dog. Every beaver is harvested responsibly in Ontario, and every product is made by our hands in small batches.
